CAGED

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

The short version: Caged is an offline app. Your data stays on your phone. I can't see it, access it, or collect it. I have no interest in your data.

What Caged Does

Caged helps you track which Nicolas Cage movies you've watched, own, and still want to see. You can add ratings, reviews, tags, watch dates, ownership details and your own lists. All of this is stored locally on your device.

No Accounts

There is no sign-up, no login and no account of any kind. I don't know who uses the app.

Data Storage

Everything you enter into Caged is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers. As the developer, I have no way to access your information. The film information (titles, posters and so on) is bundled inside the app itself.

Data Export and Import

You can export your data as a zip file. This uses your phone's built-in sharing screen, so you choose where the file goes. Caged itself doesn't know where you save it. You can import that zip file later to restore your data, using your phone's built-in file picker, which only lets Caged read the one file you choose.

Data Deletion

If you uninstall Caged, all app data is deleted from your device. There are no backups anywhere else unless you've manually exported your data.

Permissions

Caged doesn't ask for access to your camera, files, contacts, location, or any other device features, and it doesn't need an internet connection to work.

Third Parties

There are no ads and no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services in this app.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
